KC is an oil painter, born in Cumbria, living and working from her studios in Surrey, UK and Estepona, Spain. Her Contemporary expressionist style has been developed to highlight the tenderness, awkwardness and complications of living within the body. She paints in many layers, disrupting and distressing the surface to highlight the many facets and history of learning to accept one’s body. Text and phrases may be present, representing her apantasia and primary means of accessing memory.
She has studied with Nicholas Wilton, CVP, Contemporary Art Academy and has been in mentorship with artist Nick Malone. She is represented with Wychwood Art and is Founder of BlueHouse artspace. She is mentor and cohost with Creative Shift.
KC established herself as an artist in 2020. Her previous career was as a psychotherapist working with survivors of trauma and violence.
Her work has been exhibited in the UK and is in private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. Her work was chosen by Omaze in 2026 to be included in the Surrey House Draw supporting Over The Wall Camp Children’s Charity
