“I paint the complicated feelings of being in a woman’s body, the highs and lows. Sometimes the body will be there, other times only the feeling of the body. I like many other women, have felt awkward in my own body, have and still do, experience dysphoria. This experience matters. I paint with affection for what lies within the way we present ourselves in our everyday lives.”
